- About Faizah Foundation
Faizah Foundation is a nongovernmental orphanage home approved by the Lagos State Government, providing loving care and vital services to homeless, abandoned, abused, trafficked, and exploited youth through rehabilitation, reformation and reintegration.
Our work would be much easier if the issues our kids faced were able to be solved with a hot meal, warm shower, shelter, clothing, hospital care, education and clean bed. In reality, there is a wide range of deep-seated psychological, physical, and economic reasons for children homelessness. This means we work hard to find solutions that are sustainable. We offer regular, in a home filled with love and care, consistent support to those in need so that the children in our care can develop over time, giving them the chance to create a brighter future
What We Do
Rehabilitation
The first objective is to take abandoned children off the streets and give them a befitting home. The children would be rehabilitated under the most conducive environment and shown unconditional love and excellent care.
Reformation
This would be achieved through education and extra curricula activities. Education is the best investment any child could have. This project is designed to help train the children as far as they want to go in the pursuit of their academic excellence.
Re-integration
Some of the children would be reintegrated into society through adoption and fostering to deserving and loving families.
We hope to partner with the State Government, Corporate bodies, Religious groups and Social philanthropic organizations (for the adoption and fostering process).
We strongly believe these children need to live in a homely environment with lots of love and care, this would enable them adjust well in adulthood.
In addition we hope to remove the stigma attached to the “orphan status” by creating a leverage that will promote equality amongst these children and their peers all over the world.
Our Challenges include funds, facilities and infrastructures to provide quality care, education and support these children deserve. As we progress with this great vision, we trust God that you would be a part of this noble cause to put a smile on the faces of the children.
We invite you to be a part of our dream of a greater Nigeria devoid of street urchins, beggars and homeless children laboring for little or nothing in abominable conditions.
